Parks & Forestry Director Accepts Position in Kansas
Parks & Forestry Director, Justin Combs, has accepted the director position for the Parks and Facilities Department with the City of Hutchinson, Kansas.
Justin Combs has been with the City of Adrian since 2010 and in his time here has facilitated the Comstock Park retaining wall renovation, facilitated the Riverside Park Kiwanis Trail bridge project, enhanced the city’s parks and facilities, assisted City Commissioner Tom Faulhaber with the launch of the Maple City ReLeaf program, and continued with the long standing tradition of the Tree City USA program.
“I am excited to begin this great opportunity with the City of Hutchinson and proud to be able to contribute to their exceptional park system. It has been a privilege to work for and with the City of Adrian team, our many community partners and volunteers. This opportunity not only will bring us closer to family but represents considerable career advancement as well. I am confident in the staff for both Parks & Forestry staff and Oakwood Cemetery that Adrian will continue to offer outstanding park and cemetery facilities.”
Combs’ last day as the Parks & Forestry Director in Adrian will be June 13, 2014. City Administrator Shane Horn stated that “Justin has done an outstanding job for the City of Adrian, his leadership and knowledge will be missed. We wish Justin continued success as he takes this next step in his career, we share in his excitement of the opportunity to add additional responsibilities with the added benefit of being close to home and family.”
