Parks and Forestry
|The Parks and Forestry Department is responsible for the maintenance of the City’s 18 parks, totaling approximately 625 acres, as well as the Kiwanis Trail. This division also manages the street trees and park trees throughout the city, handles snow removal downtown and in the parks, and creates, installs, and maintains Christmas lights.
Adrian, known as the Maple City, has held the Tree City USA designation for the past 37 years and is a 6 time Growth Award recipient. The Growth Award is given to communities who provide services such as information on tree planting, tree maintenance and public education.
