CITY OF ADRIAN
To the qualified electors of the City of Adrian, County of Lenawee:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 the general election will be held in the City of Adrian, in the County of Lenawee and State of Michigan.
For this Election only: If you are in Precincts 1, 2 and 3 you will vote in the Agricultural Building. If you are in Precincts 4, 5 and 6 you will vote at the Merchants Building both located at the Lenawee County Fairgrounds.
The City of Adrian has six voting precincts. For Precincts 2, 3 and 5 there will be two different ballot styles. Ballot style A will be for those who live in the City of Adrian and are in the Adrian Public School District. Ballot style B will be for those residents who live in the City of Adrian but are in the Madison Public School District.
NOTE: This election is for City of Adrian Residents only. Even though there are school board positions for the Adrian Public School and the Madison Public School you will still vote at your normal poling location.
The Townships in the Adrian Public School District and the Madison Public School District outside the City of Adrian will be holding their own elections.
It is very important that you know if you are registered to vote and what precinct you are to vote in. You can check this information out by going to the following website: Am I Registered to Vote?. You can also call the City of Adrian, City Clerk’s Office at 517-264-4866 or 517-264-4833.
When you come to the fairgrounds there will be staff in the parking lot directing traffic. You will need to know which precinct you vote in so they can direct you to the correct building. When entering the building you will have to fill out an Application to Vote before you head to your poling location. You will also have to have your driver’s license available for the Precinct worker to scan in the computer to issue a ballot.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS CANNOT BE ISSUED ON ELECTION DAY, THE LAST DAY TO PICK UP AN ABSENTEE BALLOT WOULD BE SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 5TH UNTIL 2:00 P.M. THE LAST DAY WE CAN ISSUE AN ABSENTEE BALLOT WOULD BE MONDAY, NOVEMBER 7TH AND IT WOULD HAVE TO BE VOTED AT CITY HALL.
