City to Launch New Online Business Directory
City officials and local contractor Oopgo, Inc. are set to launch a new innovative economic development tool in October of 2014.
The newest development to the city’s website is AdrianBusiness.com, an online business directory designed to provide local businesses with unique marketing opportunities. Businesses will be featured on the city’s website and in a digital directory that will be promoted on a local and national level.
“AdrianBusiness.com has the potential to increase exposure for our local businesses and further promote Adrian as a vibrant community” City Administrator Shane Horn said. “Together our new website and AdrianBusiness.com will support our efforts with economic development in a unique and creative way”.
The objective of AdrianBusiness.com is to maximize the city and the business community’s digital presence, visibility and reach. Participating businesses will have a listing in the online directory, AdrianBusiness.com, that can include the business’s logo, address, phone, website, Facebook link and Twitter link. Businesses will also be featured on the city’s homepage, adriancity.com with their logo and a link to the business’s website.
Since the launch of the City of Adrian’s new website, adriancity.com, city staff and local contractor Oopgo, Inc, a leading web consultant and business intelligence company, have worked to make improvements to the site and move the city’s digital presence forward. Oopgo, Inc CEO Patrick Haddad noted “since launching the new city website, in addition to the 400% increase in visits and 5000% increase in social media interaction, many visitors have been searching for information about Adrian area businesses directly, which presents a unique opportunity to showcase local businesses, help them expand their reach and grow the city’s economy.”
The fee for a basic subscription is $50/month ($600 for year) or the premium subscription fees are $200 per month ($2,400 per year). Businesses interested in purchasing a subscription in the business directory are encouraged to contact Economic Development Coordinator, Chris Miller at [email protected] or by phone at 517-264-4804.
